All About Fall Décor

Your pool may be covered for the season, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get outside to view the glorious colors of the falling leaves, breathe in the crisp air, and wrap up in a cozy sweater to simply relax and unwind. Take the time to create a festive autumn yard for everyone to enjoy!

Use pumpkins, squashes, and gourds in various colors and sizes to decorate the porch. You can add some Indian corn and dry cornstalks to porch and mailbox posts. Place a fall wreath on the door. A harvest wreath can be created with fall foliage and wheat husks. Or, kick off Halloween festivities early with a spooky-themed wreath. Arrange some bales  of hay with a colorful scarecrow.

Then, carry your fall theme into your backyard—where your LOOP-LOC pool cover serves as the centerpiece. Adding a fire pit to the backyard (at a safe distance from the pool) will not only ward off any chill, but will provide the perfect soft light to take in the splendor of the backyard. Roast some marshmallows or make some s’mores. Take this concept one step further with an outdoor grill and seating area so you can eat amongst nature. You can also install a hot tub—a perfect way to unwind when you aren’t using your swimming pool. Coordinate it with your pool to maintain a uniform look.

If you are truly adventurous and have the space, add an outdoor living room. A pergola can serve as a roof. Use bricks or pavers for the floor and install an outdoor fireplace. Cozy furniture and a few tables will finish the “room.”

While the end of swimming season can be a sad time for some, transforming your backyard into a fall paradise can help you appreciate your backyard on a whole new level. Add some cozy cushions, blankets, and pillows to your patio furniture to extend the amount of time that your family and friends can enjoy the outdoors. Before you know it, it will be time to uncover the pool again!
